On the occasion of the VitaFoods edition in Geneva, Switzerland, an agreement was signed with the Korean contract manufacturer group COSMAX NBT for the exclusive production within the Korean market of a special Annurca apple extract produced in the Evra manufacturing plants in Lauria (Basilicata, southern Italy): a completely innovative functional ingredient clinically tested for hair care and hair regrowth products.

After about 4 years of collaboration and cross-research between the Italian laboratories of Evra Srl-Osun Solutions and the Korean laboratories, followed closely by the local partner of Evra, the company Athena Co. Ltd., led by Dr. Eun Kyung Park, in order to pass the various stages of clinical tests, the product has finally been developed and is ready for its commercialization.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Francesco Fanelli (CEO of Evra S.r.l. Benefit Company), and the vice-president of the Korean COSMAX NBT group, Mr. Jaeyoun Lim, in the presence of Dr. Vincenzo Salamone (CEO and president of VOS Group); Dr. Laura Ivaldi and her staff, who followed the operation at all stages, together with Dr. Eun Kyung Park, CEO of the Korean company Athena Co. Ltd. (exclusive distribution partner for the Group’s Asian market); and Mr. John Kim, strategic marketing manager of the COSMAX NBT group in charge of creating a communication plan capable of transferring to the end customer all the history, processes and functions of the product obtained from the ancient fruit from Campania.

The new revolutionary functional ingredient, which has been patented, has successfully passed all clinical tests both in Italy and in Korea, a country with extremely complex and difficult regulations and protocols, so much so that the well-known contract manufacturer COSMAX NBT has requested exclusivity.
